The Wedding of Margaret and Liam.

On Saturday, 5 April 2008, I was privileged to photograph the wedding of Margaret and Liam at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding, Essex.

Unfortunately, the weather was not as kind as I would have wished it be, with a cold wind and intermittent showers, but, as they say, the show must go on.

We managed a couple of outdoor shots, but were lucky enough to have the old farmhouse to use for their private time.

The rest of the day was a blast and everybody really enjoyed themselves.

Here are a couple of the images from the day as promised:

Margaret and Liam’s Pre Wedding Shoot.

On Sunday, 30 March, I met up with Margaret and Liam, in Thaxted, to do their long overdue pre wedding shoot.

The weather had not been kind to us over the last couple of weekends and we had almost resigned ourselves to the situation that the pre wedding shoot, may have to become the post wedding shoot.

Anyhow, the weather gods were good to us and Sunday turned out to be a pretty pleasant day.

Let’s hope that the same happens this Saturday, 5 April for their wedding at The Reid Rooms.

Below is a slideshow of some of the images from Sunday:

Shire Horse Show.

I have never been close up to see these horses and when the Shire Horse Show in Peterborough happened on the weekend of 15/16 March 2008, Angela and I took a drive up on the Sunday to go and have a look.

Recently, it has been on the news that there is concern that these beautiful, gentle giants could become extinct.

Unfortunately, the weather was really horrible and most of the outdoor activities did not happen, so we were restricted to the main arena and the stables.

Luckily we decided to go into the stables before going home and as we were walking out, all the carts came back from their judging in the arena.

The slideshow is a couple of the images I managed to capture on the day:

Pre Wedding Shoot with Sonya and Andy.

On Saturday, 15 March 2008, I met up with Sonya and Andy for the first time, to discuss their upcoming wedding on 12 April 2008 at All Saints Pastoral Centre, London Colney with the reception to be held at Fanhams Hall, near Ware.

I was a bit nervous as we hadn’t met before they booked and was worried that we would “click”. I needn’t have worried, as they are a wonderful, warm and genuine couple and I deem it a privilege to have been commissioned to cover their wedding.

We had arranged to meet at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks Pub and then we went on to the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban for a beautiful backdrop and then onto the Verulamium Park.

Luckily for us the weather held and it did not pour down, but there was a slight drizzle, which didn’t bother us.

There was a lot of laughter whilst I posed Sonya and Andy against trees and in doorways as the general public were walking by and soon they were comfortable with the camera in their faces and didn’t even notice people looking.

I have put together a slideshow of the images of the day, please enjoy and if you wish to purchase any of the images, they will be on my website very soon.
