A Walk in the Bluebell Wood.

Seeing today was an unusual day for the UK – the sun was shining on a bank holiday weekend, Angela, my grand daughter, Holly and I went off to a bluebell wood I had heard of recently, where the bluebells grow wild.

Here are some of the images I made today.

and when we got home, I came across this Dandelion, ready for it’s seeds to take flight.

The long dull winter months……..

I find that I really hit a low during winter months. The days are dull and short, there are very few weddings and generally, I want to hibernate. My zest for life and photography ebbs to an unbelievable low and I really don’t want to do anything at all, not even pick up the camera.

Photography is like everything else in life, you need to practice, practice and practice some more if you want to keep your eye in and your creative juices flowing.

I by chance came across a blog that deals with lighting and photography in general and was really enjoying what I was reading and the tips and ideas for studio work and then I read that he was no longer going to keep the blog updated and he was focusing on a Photo A Day blog.

So, being curious as I am, I went and had a look at the site.

What a great way to keep yourself focussed (excuse the pun) and disciplined, by taking and publishing a photo a day.

What a great way to motivate yourself when you just don’t feel like picking up the camera because business is quiet, or you just don’t feel bothered to do anything, because you have made a commitment to yourself and others who will maybe look forward to seeing what you will post tomorrow and don’t want to let them or yourself down.

So, even though it is the (almost) beginning of summer, I have started my Photo A Day site and you can visit it here.

By starting it now, I will get myself into the correct mindset for the horrible winter months.

New and Revamped Website – At last!!!

It is with a sigh of relief that I can announce that my new and revamped website in now live. www.georgepark.co.uk

It has taken a couple of weeks, or should I say months to create as the first draft didn’t have the WOW factor that I really wanted and because my corporate colours are black and white, I decided to stay with B&W.

A lot of people say that black is not a good colour for a wedding site, but then, why should I conform to what everyone else says.

Hopefully, my images will speak for themselves, as they are all now showcased in slideshows that can be viewed full screen on your browser.

I hope you enjoy the new site.

New and Revamped Wedding Pricelist – Packages from £550-00.

I am pleased to announce that I have uploaded a new wedding pricelist with brand new packages  to try and cater for all your needs.

The most exciting addition, is the Wedding Gift Registry.

With this you are able to request friends and family to contribute to your wedding photography, rather than giving you a gift or money, that can be put to the cost of your wedding photography package.

This way, you can get the ideal package for your day and for you to enjoy for the rest of your lives.

I have also now included the Ascot Traditional Album to my base package.

Please use my contact page to request a pdf version of my pricelist.
Regards,

George.
